Pete,
You did not mention if you had a Turn & Bank. I am getting you a drawing
together for the way to connect the system up. Will finish it tomorrow.
One venturi will NOT run both indicators. I will have some things for you
to check on the precessing at 85 MPH. Venturis are definitely not
qualified for intentional IFR flight. The whole system will be explained.

Subject: [COUPERS-FLYIN] Venturi

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any
advice in this forum.]----

Good morning all, I just completed a total restoration of 3828H and this
included a new AH and DG. The venturies I have are about 10 inches long so
I used 3/8 ID suction hose to them. There are two venturies, on for the DG
and one for the AH. I was told it would be best to use the larger internal
diameter hose so I did, I was unable to find new hose with the large ID so
I used to old one. The new 3/8 hose I received had a 1/4 inch ID so I did
not use it. Below 85 MPH I cannot get the Attitude indicator to behave,
is this normal? Have any of you had this problem and changed venturies or
put in an electric vaccum pump? I received a letter form the Federalies
informing me that in order to be IFR I needed to have an electrical backup
pump installed. Any ideas on all of the above would be appreciated

        I also had a fluctuating oil pressure of around 5 PSI ( 30 to 35 )
two flights ago and found my oil to be at 3 quarts when I landed. It was
a 4 hour flight so I used a quart. After putting in the other quart, the
problem seems to have gone away and I am at a steady 35 PSI. Have any of
you had eratic indications when the oil is down to 3 quarts, I did not
last year, but it never got this hot last year ( around 80 ). Do I have to
split the case to get to the pressure relief valve? the hose from ( to )
the gauge goes directly into the crankcase right in front of the right
magnetoe. I have a C85. Thanks,Pete

Pete :-):-):-):-):-)
Have a great day!!!
