Ercoupe Flyer; I'm surprised that your mechanic did not know who would
have cylinders.
Contact C. E. Biter @ 863 314 8939. I think he has fresh chrome
cylinders in stock. He charges $99 per cylinder labor, plus parts for
cylinder reconditioning.
You will need to replace all four pistons, and as far as I know, you
can only get those from Fresno Airparts, or Robert Weber (slightly
cheaper) - check Trade a Plane for their phone numbers. I also recommend
that you get the new rings from Engine Components Inc., rather than use
NOS rings from Fresno or Weber. ECI is also listed in Trade A Plane.
I know the cost is about $90 more per cylinder for chrome, but I
would recommend it over grinding oversize.
