Jan, you can buy a garden type pump up sprayer designed to spray thin stain and sealant for wood decks. I bought mine at a local hardware store for less than 20 bucks. It has a brass fan nozzle at the end. I used it to spray zinc chromate into the center section. Did a fine job in 20 minutes that would have taken hours with a paint brush. You can not get a paint sprayer into the stub wings so the pump up garden sprayer worked well.
