Hello Joe, I have the aluminum tanks on my airplane. It is a 416C build in 1946 and it has a baffle around the sump area. I can't see any way to sneak a syphon tube under it. Syphoning the header tank is no problem. I'm "Baffled", so to speak, as to how this can work in the wing tanks.
