This Navy Guy was the local FBO and CFI his main plane was a Aeronca 7AC. This was in the late forties. He was also featured in Life Mag. in the war years,and in Lifes 20th centruy Mag. recently. His plane crashed and burned on deck (South Pacific) and he was being pulled out of his cockpit by a deckcrewman. I think it was a Hellcat.
