Thanks for your suggestion, I might take a look on Ceph.
However, while looking for a good alternative on Glusterfs, I found that
the most mature, widely used and well documented alternative is Lustre.
It seems pretty cool and the only drawback is having to compile kernel
modules (which some times is just not an option).
Did anyone made a good benchmark between Lustre and Gluster?
