The mount will not die as long as you have atleast one server up in each
replicate pair. The mount will _fail_, however, if server1 is offline at
the time of mounting. You can work-around that by setting up a DNS name
that round-robins across all server. Or you could hack up a script that
pings a server before selecting it for the mount.

Thanks for this tip - DNS round robin works fine to provide mounts, even if one the servers is down.
