To add to this: ceph and xtreemfs are at the same stage. ceph lost part of my test-data and xtreemfs was slow and unstable and hung up my system two or three times. Drbd+gfs2 proved slow and unworkable without node-fencing. Gluster at least didn't result in any kernel-panics (yet) despite my very "unstable" setup with only one of three nodes running full-time...
