Sounds like you prefer to use the other account for most Google things. That will come with a Gmail account too. If you prefer to keep using this Gmail account but don't want to have to be logging into both accounts, have all emails forwarded from this Gmail account to the other one so you can just log in there to do everything. People can keep emailing you at your old Gmail account and you can reply from the other one as an alias.
