I have an email account that is not in Gmail, but it is linked to Google and Youtube. (I use it this email address to log on to Google and Youtube, but I do not use it for Gmail)
I have discovered that whenever I send an email to someone at a Gmail address, when they read my email, a photo appears as my profile when they are reading my email. This profile image comes from a Youtube video I posted many years ago. It's not of me. To be clear, I am not using Gmail for this email address. I have a different email program (outlook and/or webmail). It is not a gmail address. I send an email to someone, and this does not involve Gmail in any way. but if the recipient is on Gmail, Google somehow makes the connection that the email address it was sent from is linked to my Google account and it grabs this old and outdated profile image and puts it at the top of the email as the recipient reads it. I have tried for hours to delete or change the profile image. This is very annoying! I never asked Google to show people a picture of me, especially when I'm using an email address that has nothing to do with gmail or google. Since the image came from a video, i could only figure it's coming from my Youtube account. So I logged on there, and changed my profile image. The new profile image is showing up on Youtube, but the OLD ONE IS STILL SHOWING UP WHEN PEOPLE ON GMAIL READ MY MAIL THAT COMES FROM THIS NON_GMAIL ACCOUNT. if I could just get it to update the profile and put a picture of me, or change to the default faceless person that would be great. but I can't do anything to change it. I'm guessing that if I set up a gmail account for this email address, I could fix it but I don't want another gmail account. I already have one for a different email address.
