I did try load more messages, but that just loads even older messages.

I also tried on my older iPhone 4 - but it's the same thing. For some 
reason the latest messages in that one mailbox from March just will not 
show up on any of my iOS devices.

Not all my email accounts are Gmail, so I didn't want to use a special app.
