I have a load of items labelled 'X'. Some of them also still carry the label Inbox. I want to be able to remove the label 'Inbox' from those items, so that they just carry the label 'X'. If I choose to view just X-labelled items (which includes those also labelled Inbox), the Archive button is no longer available, and the label 'Inbox' is not available to untick under the 'Labels' dropdown. The option to use the Archive button is not practicable, because the few hundred items items also carrying the 'X' label are scattered among thousands of other inbox items spanning many years, and there are no search criteria common to the X-labelled items. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Gmail-Users" group.
