I have just tried with Firefox Nightly <http://nightly.mozilla.org/> 24.0a1
and it's not working either. I believe the desktop notifications use the
webkitNotifications<http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/notifications/quick/>API
which, I believe is not fully supported in FF. You can test this
here <http://0xfe.muthanna.com/notifyme.html>.
