Why is desktop notification not working on firefox ?
I'm running current build of Aurora (which is firefox 23.0a2) and
desktop notification have been working since version 22.
I can even test it here and it works fine
http://jsbin.com/notification/571/edit.
In the settings tab, Gmail just tells me that my browser don't
support desktop notifications (which is obviously wrong).
Am I doing something wrong or gmail's notifications are not
standard HTML5 notification ?
I have just tried with Firefox Nightly <http://nightly.mozilla.org/>
24.0a1 and it's not working either. I believe the desktop
notifications use the webkitNotifications
<http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/notifications/quick/> API
which, I believe is not fully supported in FF. You can test this here
<http://0xfe.muthanna.com/notifyme.html>.
