Along that line... I have a friend that just started a service that uses HTML to format stock market information.
EVERY SINGLE ONE of his messages get truncated, and I only see the first few lines of a table he has. When I saved a message, it was well over 300KB in size. Recoding that HTML on my own was under 5KB. The problem is that the tool he is using to convert an EXCEL range to an HTML table sets all of the necessary styles for every single cell in the table, instead of creating a class that can be used for a default or in place of all of those setting in each cell. I can't convince him to do otherwise, and the constant need to expand the messages are driving me batty.
