RIght. I was hoping to avoid routing all the mails (which contain some 
attached files) through my own slow and rationed Internet connection, but 
that's all right too.

I've now created a new Gmail account for this purpose where I will put the 
mails in question. Then I'll give my friend the password to it along with 
careful instructions on what to do with it.
