The issue, as I stated, is that messages from two different sources have
disappeared from my Google Inbox. I did not send them to my Spam folder
and they are not in my Spam folder. Google performed some action -- either
a deletion or a concealment -- with the result that legitimate, retained
messages are no longer available to me.

In response to your speculative remark. I am a subscriber to New In Chess
magazine and I renewed that subscription this summer. Their e-mails to me,
announcing a new issue of the magazine, are regularly received. It has
been suggested to me that Google fails to deliver messages which Google
considers (on uncertain grounds) to be spam. In itself, that would not
suggest a reason to pull messages that have already been delivered to me.

The Google Inbox display does not show me any feature which would allow me
to complain directly to Google. After several months I have finally found
that there is a Google group which allows me to bring up this difficulty.
So here I am.
