I have both a Gmail account and an email address provided me by Cox Cable,
my internet provider, call it [email protected]. For years I have had my Gmail
import mail going to the xyz account to show in addition to the email sent
directly to my Gmail address. Gmail has done this fine without incident.
For some reason today the mail addressed to the xyz account is not showing
up in Gmail. I went to my Gmail settings under the Accounts heading and
looked at the section labeled "Check for mail in other accounts". All the
settings were accurate. I did notice that it said "last checked 17 hours
ago"! I clicked the link that said "Check mail now". When I did this all
the missing xyz email showed up. This indicates to me that indeed all the
settings for the other account are indeed correct. HELP PLEASE! Can
anyone tell me why Gmail has stopped checking this account on its own? As
I say it has been doing it this way for years with no problems.

Thanks in advance... Bob
