the help docs are apparently out of date because they still indicate I can access settings from the menu tab and disable the archive option from appearing on my toolbar.. but that option no longer exists.
I don't ever want to archive..i want to delete.. am i missing something ? can anyone tell me how to remove that option from the toolbar ? (all i find is a default option of archive or delete when swiping) more importantly .. how do i get the inbox to display as just a full screen list.. and not automatically open my selected email? ie: there are now 3 columns .. 1. folder/account list 2. selected folder content list (ie:iinbox) 3. selected email automatically open. the only column i can figure out how to collapse is the account/folder list I can't be the only one who doesn't want my emails opened automatically .. maybe i don't want to read it yet or have someone looking at my screen and i don't want them to see the content . ...and maybe this isn't true, but what about viruses ? how can i avoid autoloading content from a suspect email that i normally would have just selected and deleted from a list? i am very frustrated with this and hope it is just something I am missing ... thanks for any advice. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Gmail-Users" group.
