Keith,
FYI, there is no option to never send to trash.  Only an option to never send
to spam.

You could set a filter at your gmail web view to deal with mail from your wife,
that includes never treat as spam/trash and maybe add a star or specific
folder?

Bill,
Perhaps you have a filter that's trashing anything from "@aol.com
[http://aol.com]".  Filters can be created for just a domain name.
Also, if you're syncing your account with any email programs on your computer,
check to see if anything there could be deleting some emails.

My wife frequently forwards to me mail which she has received. She uses both an
AOL email address, and a Gmail address. The mails she sends from her Gmail
address come through to my Gmail InBox, just as they should. But the mails from
her AOL address go straight to Trash. I don't check my Gmail Trash box daily,
so my wife is often annoyed that I haven't read the things she forwards from
her AOL address. I tried to make a Filter in Gmail, but there doesn't seem to
be a way to make a Filter which would prevent emails from going directly to
Trash. (There's an option "never send it to Spam" but no option to avoid the
Trash box.) Is there a way to do this? Can someone offer suggestions? Thanks -

I don't believe there is any way for a message to end up in Trash, other than
(1) you (or someone) clicking the Delete button, or (2) a Filter.  Gmail
doesn't delete messages by itself!

That's probably why there is no Filter option, to prevent something that
doesn't happen.

Check your Filters for one that deletes messages.  You may have forgotten that
it's there.

Andy
