Hi again.
thanks for the tip mate, I will do that later today..got a busy day so
can't get PC'ing until tonight..hehe
One thing I just noted though that is even more annoying (because it
makes the error totally random or so it seems and that's always a
harder thing to diagnose..groan!) I opened up FF there with about 20
tabs open(as is usual) and I immediately tried bookmarking the page I
had open..it is an asian page but is in English, just mentioning it as
it seems to be one of the few things that differentiates this page
from the other tabs.
anyway I pressed the star and not a thing happened.
Yet, changing to a different tab and trying to bookmark one of those
pages, all fine!
I don't get it.
It seems like its now just some tabs that will not bookmark.
I tried all the possible ways of bookmarking the site in
question...the add to bookmarks context menu, no bookmarks editor
appeared, I tried in the bookmarks menu, the 'bookmark this page'
entry..still nothing happened.
Then I spotted a javascript link on the site, you know the usual
'bookmark this site!' kind of thing. Amazingly, when I clicked that
up popped an add to bookmarks dialogue. It was a slightly smaller
version of the usual bookmarks editor that appears when you click the
star.
so I have concluded that it is certain sites.
I don't know if it also related to maybe the fact that a site has
already been opened in a tab for a while and is somehow stuck in some
sort of error that won't correct itself. New tabs opening seem to all
bookmark fine but I can close and restart FF a hundred times but this
site I am talking of will not bookmatrk.
I sincerely doubt that the actual site is the problem here but, just
in case...anyone want to have a try and let me know...its

OK I have to go for now but thanks again and hopefully I will have
something to report on this later.
Cheers,
