I have started actually started using it seriously only after upgrading to FF4. I too remember facing such a problem once or twice but i found a way out! I now always sign in to my google account by visiting the google.com rather than through the addon. I haven't tried to re-check whether the problem still exists with FF4.0.1.
Moreover, I have to click the refresh option to load the bookmarks initially. This appears somewhat irritating but usually these little things do not matter too much to me (although i am generally put off by small things and generally believe in perfection). This is because having weighed all the other options including other similar addons for Firefox, I have realized that with Firefox, this is the best addon for managing google bookmarks. I would have loved it if the original developer of this addon could continue to put time to it. But even if he has stopped its development, GMarks is still the best addon for Firefox in its class. Thanks to Jumperchen again for making it compatible with FF4!
