Hi Darrel,

I thought you might be the best person to answer this.

I also copy the team.

Thanks,
steve

Steve,

I see one of the precompiled Linux versions was built and tested with Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 7.2, whereas we use Linux AMI release 2018.03 (which sounds
like it has changed enough from its RH ancestry that it's considered it's own
distro). Does anyone on your team have any insight into what problems, if any,
we could encounter installing R2018a on this type of system?

Thanks,

Russ

We are running neither. We’re running off of AWS using Amazon Linux AMI
release 2018.03 which I believe has roots in RHEL/CentOS.

Thanks Russ. That explains it.

What flavor of linux do you use? Red Hat or Ubuntu?

What version number?

Ryan,

Would you be able to check what Steve mentioned?

Steve,

I think you're thinking of Fermi. Fermi will be using the Windows version. On
the NaaS orbit side, we use the Linux version. On the NaaS maneuver side, we
do use the Windows version, though.

Russ,

I thought someone said that you all use the Windows version. Did I hear that
wrong?

To determine which version you had, take a look at the following equivalent
directory:

[cid:[email protected]]

Do you have a “proprietary” folder? If so, do you have these plugins?

Steve,

Currently we use the Linux version of GMAT 2017a. I don’t know if that’s
“internal” or “public”. Were there two versions for 2017a? If so, how would
we be able to tell which we use?

Thanks,

Russ

Hi All,

Is the version you have now “internal” or “public?”

I think it makes sense to use R2018A. If you grab the internal version, you
can’t distribute it further as it contains some proprietary plug-ins. (Steve
S, do you all use internal or public versions?)

In any event, the builds are located here:

\\mesa-file\595\GMAT\Releases\R2018a<file://mesa-file/595/GMAT/Releases/R2018a>

Go to “internal” or “public” folder as deemed appropriate.

The windows build is labelled “win.”

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve & Steve,

I know you're both out of the office right now. But when you return, can you
help one of our developers, Ryan (cc'd), obtain and install a new version of
GMAT? We plan to upgrade our version of GMAT as part of the NaaS release we're
working on. I had planned to have us upgrade to R2018a, but if you think I
should consider a newer build for ACE & Wind, let me know. You could change my
mind.

Thanks,

Russ
