Which would at least be always correct for Mono and Stereo.

Fortunately not and the British don't either :)

Some codecs have Left, Center, Right but left comes always before right.

Only for my job, and then more stuff like "Handbook of mathematical

Depends on the anatomy. If the aliens body has a two-fold symmetry it should
be possible, if it has a 5-fold symmetry like a starfish it's impossible.
