Bernd - Gmsh looks for a library named libmed (.a, .so, .dylib, etc.): not sure
why yours is named libmedc1?

You can modify the line

find_library(MED_LIB med)

into

find_library(MED_LIB medc1)

in the CMakeLists.txt file to see if this fixes it.
