Dear Julia,

I don’t think that there is a function in Gmsh that does exactly what you want
(namely, if I understand well, take some line indexes and return back the
points that support those lines). However, here are some suggestions on what
you could do :

· Are you using Gmsh GUI ? If so, with your geo file open, go to the
menu bar and under the Tools menu go to Options. On the left side of the new
window select geometry and under the visibility tab, tick the “Point labels”
box. That will display the indexes of each point in the model.

· Use a geo script file like the one enclosed with this mail. That way
you can specify the indexes of the endpoints of your left line and not worry
about having to fetch for them afterwards.
Was it somewhat helpful ?

Sincerely yours,

Objet : [Gmsh] point list of a mesh

 Hi
I am working on a 2D mesh
for simplicity I 've created four lines forming a square, and a corresponding
line loop, I would like to get the indexes of all mesh points lets say on the
left line , would it be possible to do that in gmsh?
Thanks in advance
Julia
