Indeed, we simply output CBAR as element type for 2-node lines in BDF format 
(see Geo/MLine.h). You can just replace the occurrences in the output file. 

@gmsh users: would it be interesting to have the ability to change the "finite 
element type" in BDF and INP output files (these format encode more than the 
geometry...)?
