Dear all,
I am working on a 2D model in which I would like all the mesh normals to be pointing in the same direction. As I visualize them, I noticed that there is a single element from a single surface pointing in opposite direction to the rest. Does anyone know what it means and if there is a way to fix it?
An additional point, if I may, is that after setting the boundary conditions and physical surfaces of my model and solving the electrostatic field with Elmerfem, the result I get is either right or wrong (in terms that not even the boundary conditions have the values that they should) depending on the type of mesh that I use (either 2nd order triangles, which gives me the right solution, or 8-node quadrangles, which doesn't and unfortunately this one is the one that I must use).
I would appreciate any help or suggestion that you may have.
Best regards,
Sabrina
