A while back we discussed if the conversion from integer to float
(during calculations) would be CPU-intensive. I think no one answered
that.

Remember that math is also different when you use integer-only values
in some cases, like Range2d has specialized functions for integer and
float types.

Anyway, this reminds me of an old saying: "if it ain't broken, don't
fix it" ... words of wisdom! ;)
