Evidently not everyone plays streaming videos fine - that's why there is a bug report. The cause and suggestions on what to try to fix it are also clearly described, so I'm not sure what more input you want. My reason for not applying the patch described was that its effect on reads from the connection aren't obvious (to me) and there are no tests verifying that things haven't broken. I have no time either to work on the patch or to test one properly, and with the state of Gnash's funding I doubt anyone else has either. The only patch I'd personally be willing to apply would come with automatic tests in the testsuite verifying that it behaves as well as or better than before. I would try to help in designing the tests though, if anyone would like to start a discussion on the mailing list. bwy -- Use Gnash, the GNU Flash Player! http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/ Benjamin Wolsey, Software Developer - http://benjaminwolsey.de
