I'm trying to install gNewsense mips port on my Yeeloong 8089B laptop.
I connected the laptop and my NAT router with a LAN cable and followed
the instructions described in
http://wiki.gnewsense.org/Projects/GNewSenseToMIPS. The Debian
installer showed up and configured the network device via DHCP
successfully, but it failed when it tried to download files from the
mirror. I could not change the mirror from which to download files,
because the download of the file that contains the list of all the
available mirrors failed too.
I think my NAT router is working properly since I can download files on
the Internet from other computers connected to the router.
What is wrong with my installation process?
I would appreciate your help.
Hi,
Thanks for trying gNewSense on your Yeeloong. I know that some people
(including me) had to retry a few times before it installed
successfully. For me it repeatedly got stuck around 90 %. Maybe you just
need to try a few times more.
Btw, gNewSense on the Yeeloong is still mostly being discussed on the
gnewsense-dev mailing list. You might be able to get more answers there.
