I've never come anywhere near the cap myself. I've gotten up to 30 - 40 GB in a busy month, that's it. I suspect >500 GB/month is more than Comcast is really geared to sell. > How much bandwidth does Netflix/Hulu/... consume? I haven't seen official figures, but if it's anything like Tivo, a little less than 1 GB/hour for standard definition, and anywhere from 2 to 8 GB/hour for higher definition. With "smart" compression, it can vary quite a bit by nature of the program -- the more motion, the more bandwidth needed. -- Ben _______________________________________________ gnhlug-discuss mailing list gnhlug-discuss@mail.gnhlug.org http://mail.gnhlug.org/mailman/listinfo/gnhlug-discuss/
