This isn't going to be as big a thing as the LBS. It is only a one hour
meeting,
with usually half of that being Q&A. What I am looking for mostly is:
1) Demos of business/government applications, such as financial,
Domino server (Who is the contact for Lotus?), interoperability,
support for legacy apps, etc. Obviously, very short demos.
I am going to demo the app that I offered to the LBS; a
"legacy" M$ Access database, doing event registration.
It has a Linux (PERL DBD, apache, smbmount) backend,
which produces web pages of statistics. Any suggestions
as to which kind of statistics would be most useful?
2) Talks from people who support Linux.
The May Central LUG/chapter meeting is also going to be
on support. The main problem may be getting people to only
talk for a couple of minutes. Hoping, of course, that there are
several people.

Most of the people in the state TUG are MIS managers.
This is as close as it gets to a meeting of PHBs, who would
actually listen to a talk on Linux. A comment was made at yesterdays
meeting, that most of them come from a mainframe background.
Mentioning which large companies use Linux would probably
be more useful than mentioning which large websites use it.
