Good morning everyone. Sorry if I have been silent for the past few days. I
am trying to give my full attention to a very bad cold and beat it out of
my body.

First, I would just like to add a word about the group assembling the LBS (
Linux Business Show). I went over to Portsmouth last Wed nite and was total
blown away by the presentation material they are building. You all will be
very impressed as well. My thanks to those people who have dedicated the
long hours and talent that are going to make the LBS one heck of a show.

Now to SwaNH (Software Association of New Hampshire)......for those of you
who don't know about SwaNH. I ask you to go and spend 10 minutes looking
over the site http://www.swanh.org. Dave Marston has recommended we
consider joining this organization.

Dave's reasoning is that they have already done the work for not-for-profit
organizations and we might be able to slide by without doing more towards
registering GNHLUG as a not-for-profit org. (my apologies to Dave if I am
putting words in his mouth that aren't accurate).

After careful analysis, I have my opinion on whether to join or not,
however, I think this is a decision that should be talked about and more or
less voted on by the Steering Committee. After you have had two or three
days to read and respond, I will then make my case and we can go from there.

In the mean time I have asked Bob Sparks to pick up the not-for-Profit
organization paperwork from the State for when the time comes that we have
to consider it seriously (which appears to be sooner than later due to the
initial success of the Linux Business Show).

Thanks, and please go to the site and read about it (SwaNH) and voice your
opinions.

Jerry
