  There are arguments for and against header munging, and through
experience, I can say that both approaches have their plus and minuses, and
opinion is about evenly divided in the "for" and "against" categories.

  Some time ago, GNHLUG, as a whole, decided against header munging.  For
better or worse, that was the decision.

  The whole filtering argument is a red herring.  Munging or not, the list
already has a way to identify it: Mail sent to the list address is list
mail.
