>I was thinking of the past when Jerry was quite active. That is what I thought you meant, and I agree that Jerry brought a lot of energy to the table. But that was then and this is now. If GNHLUG is going to survive other than a "lets get together to talk and drink a few beers" social club, we (me included) need to be more proactive and help set something up.
I just talked with Rob Anderson, and he has been following the discussion, but he is really up to his alligators in ass at work, remodeling his house at home, and noticed that several of the major contributors to the group in the past now have small urchins eating into their time (Paul, Rob and Rob). Ed, I would be willing to go to Manchester for the meeting, but I would still suggest we go to Nashua, just to make it easier for Rob Lembree (and perhaps Paul Lussier) to join us for a brainstorming session. Then I have already set up a time to go up to Rob Anderson's house on February 8th to talk and brainstorm with him. Martha's on a thursday or friday night might be too noisy and too crowded for a meeting. I might suggest the American Buffet on Rt. 101A, and try to get a table in the corner. Any one else have a suggestion? I will offer to be the secretary for these brainstorming sessions, and to try to bring it all together the week after February 8th. Thursday night works the best for me, Friday next best. Saturday I have a housewarming in Portsmouth. md -- Jon "maddog" Hall Executive Director Linux(R) International email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] 80 Amherst St. Voice: +1.603.672.4557 Amherst, N.H. 03031-3032 U.S.A.
