The support issue is tricky for small businesses which I will define
as an office or whatever with around 10 to 20 computers. The problem
is that most of these, like it or not, will need to run Win on the
desktops because there are specific applications which are only
available on Win. I know the counter-argument, but take it as a given
for now. These people want to deal with as few people as possible and
that mean the support people must be able to support Win on the
desktop. My limited experience in this area is that with Linux
servers and Win. Desktops, there are few, very few support calls about
the server as such, but you are constantly dealing with Win desktop
issues. So the support that will be needed by many BUN attendees will
not be the same as support needed by large companies or businesses
that can create Linux only solutions. The trick may be finding local
people who will provide support for both platforms. Did I say
opportunity? <G>
