Hi Bob,
PNG is the native file format for Macromedia's Fireworks. You can go to

Subject: Graphics formats
Where can I get info on the PNG format?
I saw a book in Barnes & Noble, but $50 to look
at 2 pages for a couple of days seems extreme.
It should be online somewhere, right?
If I use png instead of gif, what browsers am I excluding?
TIA,
Bob Sparks
PS. Is there a good way to get "real" random numbers in Linux?
