If you did a complete install, you already have it. If not, you'll find it
on the Red Hat CD.

Well, yes and no. It makes a great scripting tool, and is available for
both Unix & friends as well as the Win32 clan. However, many Unixes and
almost any Windows machine won't include Perl in a stock configuration, so if
you're looking for something that will always be available, Perl is not a good
choice.

I've never even seen DCL code, but I'd be willing to bet you a dollar that
Perl blows it away. :-)

Perl can be used (and likely has been) for just about anything. CGI,
database glue, GUI, shell, you name it, it does it. It isn't called "the
Swiss Army chainsaw" for nothing. :-)
