I can already get to a bash prompt. I don't start X at boot (only needed
to make THAT mistake once!!) I ran Xconfigurator to restore, but that
didn't help. It detects my video card ( VooDoo Banshee 16M AGP)
correctly, and my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 700s) is on the list.
Also, during configuration, it starts the X server just fine. After the
configuration, it goes back to crashing on me. What has me puzzled is
that I haven't changed anything on the system in over a week.
