Hi, Dave...
I just (2/7 or so) ordered my new VA linux work station,
which will have one 24x7 background task, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(This will be the central "big" machine in my home, the
one that I use for miscellaneous personal computer
projects.)
When I last dined with my friend Dan Werthimer in
April '99 in Berkeley, he told me that at that time
most of the operating SETI@home installations were
Linux. (Dan is the UC Berkeley radio astronomer/EE
and a key figure in the "SERENDIP", "Southern
SERENDIP" and "seti@home" SETI projects.]
I sure would like to participate in any GNHLUG group
that forms, to compare notes and share ideas; I'll offer
my home and computer lab in Peterborough as site
for occasional meetings, provided the number of
people coming is not too large...
