Nope, the *nix stuff is just text.
There is a program out there called TKSeti which runs on X. It doesn't
do the screensaver or the neat graph the Windows version does, but it does
alert you about new peaks you've discovered and even shows you a starmap to
tell you where you're searching (along with a lot of other neat stuff).
TKSeti is one of the 4000+ Debian packages, so I'm not sure where the home
page for it is but Freshmeat would probably know...
