Actually, there are 2 ISA cards in it. It's a dual-homed host. It really
isn't all that bad. I have decent through-put, provided that the system
I'm connecting to isn't slow.

I've heard about these. However, I am not about to attempt to solder
together my own cards. I'm just not THAT good ;-)

I wouldn't consider it BAD news, though. If I do upgrade, I can pick up
a low-end pentium (133-266)for under $100, and if I wanted to get
something on the higher end, I can build a 300MHz system for under $250.
The most expensive thing is a decent NIC.
