I'd say get Alsa (www.alsa-project.org), it includes the drivers for the
SBLive, works very well. Using the OSS/Free stuff my laptop would freeze
playing MP3s (Yamaha OPL3 or something like that) with Alsa I've had NO
problems whatsoever, and I'm running an old version.
