Hello,
can somebody tell me if there is a central place where to
submit Linux kernel bugs?
The IP aliasing module has this nasty bug that when a process
creates more than one alias (SIOCSIFADDR), then when it deletes
the first, all other aliases are deleted. This happens in 2.2-5
and 2.2-12 (shipped with Redhat 6.0 and 6.1). I have looked at
the kernel source (in particular, devinet.c), but haven't figured
out where the problem is. As a workaround, we create a dummy
alias first on Linux. This is almost as bad as the kluges we have
to do on other OS's.
Thanks.
Uwe...
