Do not -- repeat, do NOT -- report bugs with Red Hat kernels to the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list. Red Hat applies their own patches
to the stock Linux kernel. They're not the only ones, either. The same goes
for some other distributions, as well as some third-party products (like
VMWare, for example). Nothing wrong with doing this, but it means you do have
to go through their channels.
These sorts of unofficial changes have caused a number of problems for the
kernel developers, and so they have instituted a policy of "if you have a
problem with XYZ's kernel, talk to XYZ, not us".
Either contact Red Hat, or download and compile your own kernel from
pristine sources (visit http://www.kernel.org for details). This also gives
you an opportunity to make sure the latest stable kernel hasn't fixed the bug.
Hope this helps,
