Or...you can still use mutt.  I can do most of those things just fine.  Not
sure why you would want to use a file for a list of addresses.  If the number 
of folks you want to mail in that list then use majordomo or something.  
Otherwise just use /etc/aliases or /etc/mail/aliases as the case may be.  You
can still use :r like in elm to load a text file.  You can hit a to attatch 
a file....Not sure what you are missing.  Try playing around with the .muttrc 
file.  It is pretty cool..And the colors kinda rock.
