*shrug*

All it will mean to me is that after about the second reply that
I post that goes only to the sender, I won't reply to *any* GNHLUG
list messages any more. I get multi-MB of mail every single
blessed day, and there's far too much of it to which I *can't*
'reply-to-all' for me to change my finger pattern.

The 'reply-to' feature is considered good in some cultures
and not so good elsewhere. The Apache projects couldn't
function without it, for instance, whereas the IETF would
certainly erupt like fabled Thera if the header field were
added to the main discussion list there.

See <http://web.hackvan.com/pub/stig/rants/reply-to-considered-harmful.html>
for a rant against Reply-To. Unfortunately, it addresses only the
technical issue ('you can do the same thing with reply-to-all,
which all *reasonable* mailers have') but not the people one: that
old farts like me who reply to hundreds of messages every day
just don't need that extra decision about which key to press --
particularly when a *wrong* decision can have disastrous results.

So if it comes down to a vote, don't count mine -- it's not like
I contribute much, and I don't even flippin' live in NH nnymore. :-)
