Now *that's* a broken MUA. A "reply-to-all" command (which
even BSD mail has: the "r" command) should include as recipients all
of the "To:" addresseses from the original message, which, for list
mail, always includes [EMAIL PROTECTED], and even all of the "Cc:"
addresses. So with reasonable post 1980 MUA technology, replying to
the list as a whole is pretty darned easy. It's who is addressed by
the "reply-just-to-sender" command ("R" in BSD mail, IIRC) that is
affected by the list's munging of the "Reply-To:" header.
