I think you should try to upgrade to a newer XFree. I had problems with an AGP
card (some virge maybe, but not sure, but it killed the system sometimes), but
the newest XFree 3.3.# has solved the problem. Well, the XF86Config
file will go into /etc afterwards (if you install from the source), but
otherwise it's not hard to install. But I'm sure you can find an rpm for it,
since a day after installing from the sourse -so compromising the dpkg system,
I will have fun upgrading to potato-, I found the deb packages.
